Legal Hotlines FREE for All KCRAR Brokers
KCRAR has negotiated an agreement with the Kansas Association of REALTORS® to allow our Kansas Brokers free access to the KAR Legal Hotline. Under the agreement, brokers who are members of KAR can call the KAR Legal Hotline at no charge during 2008. Brokers who are members of the Missouri Association of REALTORS® will continue to have free access to the MAR Legal Hotline.
KAR-member brokers are already enrolled for this service, so you don’t need to take any action to establish an account.
About the KAR Legal Hotline…
The Kansas Legal Hotline is a program developed to provide quick access to Vern Jarboe, a legal expert in the field of real estate. With your KCRAR-provided Legal Hotline subscription, you can make unlimited phone calls in 2008 and receive a summary of your conversation.

This hotline is open to the Designated REALTOR® Broker of KAR member firms. When you call the hotline, you’ll need to identify yourself by name to verify you’re an authorized user.
With the new KCRAR program, Vern Jarboe is now familiar with the KCRAR forms. A partner with the Sloan law firm, he has been the Legal Hotline attorney for KAR since it began in 1998. The hotline is intended to provide information and education; it is not a substitute for legal counsel.
If additional research is necessary, questions will be answered within 24 hours. Additonally, Vern provides a follow-up letter to the caller within 48 hours of the answer. If Vern is not personally available, one of his partners will take care of you.
About the MAR Legal Hotline…
The Missouri Legal Hotline is a service for the Designated Broker of each member firm whose State-level membership is with MAR. Under the management of Steven D. Graham, the St. Louis firm of Thompson Coburn LLP has 11 attorneys experienced in the field of real estate available to answer your questions.
