How to Ensure You are Receiving Important KCRAR/HMLS News in Your Email Inbox

Recently we have been informed by a few members that they are not receiving email communications from KCRAR/ Heartland MLS. Many times these members/subscribers end up finding our emails in their Junk/Spam folder in their email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Postbox, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) Others end up finding those communications in their company’s corporate Spam filtering system such as a Barracuda or Cisco ESA/Ironport appliance amongst others, which send the end user a Spam Quarantine update for messages suspected as being spam.

As part of your membership in KCRAR and/or subscription to Heartland MLS, we often send out education/event information, dues/fees invoices, payment receipts, committee news and other such information we consider important. To help ensure that these emails make it to your inbox, there are a few easy steps you can take.

· First, add or ask your IT person to add our domain names to your corporate email whitelist. You would add * and/or * to those lists.

· You can also add a few important email addresses to your “Safe Sender” list in either your corporate spam filtering system, or in your personal email client address book. Adding email addresses to safe lists or address books tells your email vendor that you have contact with that address and more likely than not this will help allow messages make it through to your inbox.
