Commercial Members Honored

One of the many benefits of KCRAR membership is that of Legislative Advocacy. 

KCRAR has two Governmental Affairs Directors and a Community Outreach and Governmental Affairs Manager on staff to spearhead lobbying efforts on behalf of the REALTOR® member.  These staff members also stay current on the latest local, state and national legislative issues and keep KCRAR members informed.

In addition to our Governmental Affairs staff, there are a number of our local KCRAR members who volunteer their time and efforts on behalf our entire membership to lobby and fight the battles that must be fought to preserve and protect our best interests.  Our staff and volunteers are instrumental in regularly identifying the key threats and issues facing our industry and our livelihood.

At the recent Commercial Awards Reception three individuals were recognized and honored for their tireless efforts on legislative advocacy.  Commercial Realtors® Dan Sight, Brant Tidwell and Kirby Deeter were all awarded the Chairman’s Award for Distinguished Service, for their time and commitment to legislative advocacy on behalf of our commercial members.
